Meta Mechanics

These are mechanics that effect logging in, logging out, and how the event will start.

Login Invulnerability

Upon logging in, players are granted 10 seconds of entity damage invulnerability. This will provide players a chance to react to being approached by mobs or attacked by a player if they log in at an inopportune moment, giving a grace period due to the required resource pack installation and lag.
This invulnerability will be cancelled if the player attacks another entity during the period

Combat Logging

Combat logging is strictly against the rules and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis Combat logging is defined as logging out to avoid death in ANY scenario This includes common cases such as: reactively logging out upon seeing a player who has intent to kill you, logging out while actively engaged in combat, logging out and back in to abuse login invulnerability, logging out to avoid mobs If you believe a player combat logged against you, open a ticket on the Discord. Again, due to being dealt with on a case-by-case basis, both sides will be heard out fairly

Spawn Location

First time players will be spawned in random locations, spread across the entire map On the first session, players will spawn in small groups of ~10-20 players (current number undecided)

Grace Period

There will be a 30 minute grace period at the beginning of the event where players may not harm each other This is to give players the minimum time to find others and potentially get an idea of who they want to work with, without artificially creating cohesion
